Job Description

My client is a national multisite Retail and Wholesale business with a long heritage and history of success.Due to business growth, my client is looking for an Employee Relations Manager to join the Head Office team based in London where you will support the Head of HR across a range of Employee Relations activity. Working consultatively and in partnership withkey stakeholders across Head Office and the depots delivering a value-added service that reflects the critical business objectives of the organisation.Key responsibilities include: Provide timely, accurate and robust advice and guidance on complex HR issues including, but not limited to disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence management and organisational change Provide assistance, guidance and support to investigating managers during complex employment relation cases including supporting or presenting information during formal hearings Provide direct guidance and detailed expert advice to decision makers through all stages of formal procedures, hearings and appeal processes Handling of responses and preparation for Employment Tribunal cases, including liaison with employment lawyers and ACAS, seeking alternative resolution where appropriate. Making sound judgements and managing risk appropriately Provide updates, in a timely manner, to the Senior HR Management Team in relation to individual cases Take a lead role in the innovation of HR practice, policies, procedures and management toolkits / guidance, carrying out effective horizon scanning to identify future developmentsRequired skills and experience: Experience working in a fast-moving HR environmentDetailed knowledge and experience of advising directly on a range of HR, management and Employee Relations issues within a complex organisation Ability to manage and mitigate risk, in an employee relations context, based on a highly developed understanding of relevant employment legislation and high quality case planning Significant experience of undertaking investigations and supporting managers during formal procedures, including drafting and collating a range of complex and detailed documents Able to adopt a creative and flexible approach to resolving a wide range of employment issues including experience of early intervention and an awareness of alternative dispute resolution Able to demonstrate rational, reasoned and sound professional judgements taking into consideration all available information and data Experience of supporting line managers to continuously improve employee performance and to effectively manage organisational change Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong influencing style, articulate and confident, comfortable in liaising with senior level stakeholders Ability to think and act strategically whilst maintaining a pragmatic perspective Excellent written and spoken EnglishExperience of effectively managing own workload to meet deadlines, using initiative when required Highly organised and exceptional planning skills Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build rapport when meeting new people and adapt your style to suit the situationShould you be interested in discussing this vacancy please contact Karen Dyson via Linkedin or register your details on www.resourcing4hr.co.uk.Resourcing4HR is an independent HR Recruitment and Consultancy company specialising in supporting the HR Community - both candidates and clients alike, in a partnership approach to resourcing HR professionals.Resourcing4HR is an equal opportunities employer and a company committed to diversity.Resourcing4HR operates as a Recruitment Agency for the provision of permanent candidates and as a Recruitment Business for the provision of temporary candidates.
