Protecting consumers is at the heart of what we do.Our culture is shaped by five corporate values: excellence, agility, collaboration, empowerment and respect.Were an organisation that truly cares about staff, we offer an inclusive culture and flexible benefits packageTeam Overview This is an exciting time to join the People & Transformation (P&T) team at Ofcom as they help to expand and grow the organisation, delivering large transformation and cultural change to support an increasing regulatory remit.Youll be supporting multiple client groups across the organisation, collectively totalling c500-700 employees. Youll play a key role in supporting the organisation in its day-to-day people activities, working alongside the Senior People Business Partner to help implement transformational change and OD initiatives, and the overall P&T agenda. Working closely with the Centres of Excellence (CoEs), this role will be key to embedding collaborative ways of working across Ofcom.What you are expected to deliver

  • Youll be supporting to deliver key people practices such as workforce planning, pay & performance, employee engagement, organisational design implementation, talent & leadership development and employee relations to meet both current and future workforce needs.
  • Youll be Implementing multiple projects and people initiatives that support the P&T strategy across your specific client groups.
  • Youll be providing robust, commercially appropriate support and challenge to management teams using feedback and coaching to provide advice on options, impact, and risks.
  • Youll be acting as an agent of change ensuring organisational design and development solutions drive business transformation and deliver the outcomes required.
  • Youll be coaching and advising Senior Leaders to effectively own and lead change within their business areas, influencing and driving cultural change
  • Youll be partnering with the business, ensuring all business activities are carried out in accordance with local legislative requirements, which enhance and protect Ofcom for now and the future.
  • Youll be utilising MI and data to influence the people related agenda to support continuous improvement in areas such as diversity, succession and talent planning, colleague absence and increasing colleague engagement
  • Youll be working in collaboration with Reward colleagues to ensure appropriate pay positioning and benchmarking data is available; determine salary positioning for senior hires.
  • Youll be acting as the primary P&T interface with defined stakeholders across your client groups, to understand issues and needs and link proactively with colleagues in the CoEs (Talent, Culture & Leadership, Diversity & Inclusion & Reward) to co-design/support on key P&T initiatives.
  • Youll ensure complex employee relations matters are dealt with robustly and pragmatically and acting as a point of escalation for People Advisors managing high risk/senior cases as appropriate.
  • Youll be acting as a coach to support the development of more junior colleagues
  • Youll support with the implementation of our HR & Finance System.
  • Essential Skills and Knowledge
  • Youll have experience of working or leading through a period of change and challenge
  • Youll have experience of working closely with finance to assist on workforce planning
  • Youll have the ability to develop relationships with internal and external business leaders in order to influence, develop, align and review people strategy and practices
  • Youll have HR generalist experience with a track record of successful delivery and working with specialist HR functions to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Youll be able to tackle process/policy obstacles to support delivery of key business initiatives
  • Youll have experience of coaching client groups on a range of People initiatives, including leading and managing more effectively.
  • Youll preferably have experience of working with Workday (Finance & HR System)
