Job Description

Housing Officer - Part time - up to £13.00 per hourHousing Cooperative is seeking an experienced part time Client Support Officer to support their team at their offices in Deptford, South East London.This is a part time temporary role to start ASAP working 15 hours per week and will pay between £12.00 to £13.00 per hour.Working days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday.Shifts: 10am to 3pm and 3.30pm to 8.30pm. The role will involve working one late shift per week.The main responsibilities of the Housing Officer will include:

  • Deal with all responsive repair requests, raising orders or tendering for works as appropriate, monitoring progress and completion of works and keeping residents updated;
  • Take the lead in co-ordinating planned or cyclical maintenance work ensuring that consultation with tenants and leaseholders is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements;
  • Carry out void inspections and post inspection of day to day repairs works, as required;
  • Work with contractors
  • Support Members of the Management Committee with their administrative needs;
  • Regularly report on contractual obligations, attending committee meetings when requested.
    • The ideal Housing Officer will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar Housing role
  • A background in Administration and customer service
  • Experience of managing external contractors
