Ensuring the very highest standards of housing management across our 30,000 council homes is paramount. As a Council with a strong track record of improvement, the return of our ALMO some twenty months ago provided us with the opportunity to set a new vision, purpose and pace for Housing Management.The review has enabled us to change how we deliver our Housing Management service and as a result, we are looking for talented Housing Officers who will embrace new ways of working, delivering more of our services from estates, residents homes and local community halls.Our Housing Officers will deliver a flexible service, equipped with mobile technology to be visible and accessible to our tenants and leaseholders. We want individuals who are able to find creative and innovative ways of tackling local problems and who can demonstrate a passion for customer service and resident engagementWorking in one of our Housing Management Teams, you will be responsible for leading all matters to do with the management of the estate including estate inspections, attending tenant and resident association meetings, investigating complaints and dealing with tenancy related issues including low level anti-social behaviour.To be successful in this exciting role you will ideally have experience of Housing Management, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be self-motivated and be computer literate.Hackney is one of the UKs highest performing local authorities, serving one of Londons best places to live and work.
