Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Housing Management Team Leader to ensure that Neighbourhood Management, a key front-line service, is delivered effectively for one of our local government clients based in London SW10.The Housing Management Team Leader will deliver tailored services that suit individual needs of residents, where there are vulnerabilities or special needs identified, to ensure that officers are working with relevant agencies to meet resident needs.They will prevent service delivery failure by dealing swiftly and effectively with performance management issues within the team. Where gaps are identified within the service, to address these by implementation of service improvement plans.Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in working in social housing management is ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience of leading a team of housing management officers is ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience of actively engaging with residents to ensure that the service provided is resident focused.
  • Demonstrable experience in resolving high profile anti-social behaviour cases and successfully supporting a team that address such instances.
  • Experience in working with key agencies to address safeguarding and vulnerability issues experienced by residents.
  • Ability to understand and apply knowledge of landlord and tenant obligations, to ensure the appropriate level of enforcement is sought in Court or support and pre- legal remedies are applied where relevant.
  • Experience of coaching and effectively managing performance of a team with a view to increasing resident satisfaction.
  • Ability to manage, organise and prioritise own workload and that of the staff that are line managed by this role.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Experience of working with local communities to improve estate services and reduce levels of nuisance/crime.
