Job Description

Our client is a unique four-star boutique hotel in the heart of London. Its prime position in the Borough of Southwark next to London Bridge station, and Borough Market makes it appealing to city guests and business travellers alike. As an independent hotel, the focus is solely on impeccable and personal service, which makes for treasured memories and unforgettable stays. Withinthis role you will be responsible for undertaking the cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas to a quality standard. Ensuring all room facilities are working.Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To service guest bedrooms as per section/floor list to the required standard at all times.
  • Replace and restock all items provided for guest use within each room and bathroom.
  • To strip and make beds to a quality standard following the trained procedure at all times.
  • Service of bathrooms, empty and wash bins, clean bath, shower, basin, toilet, wash floor and all glass surfaces to the highest quality standard.
  • To follow correct procedure for reject linen.
  • Vacuum bedrooms and bathrooms floors to remove all debris including your section of the corridor, stairs and lift.
  • To promptly report any belongings left by the guest in a bedroom on public area to the Floor Supervisor following Lost Property Procedure.
  • Report promptly any room defects, scuffs and fabric damage including equipment and light bulbs to department manager, and ensure it is correctly logged.
  • To be responsible, whilst liaising with the Supervisor, for your own development.
  • To carry out regular deep cleaning of all areas of the hotel as directed by the Housekeeper.Actively achieve the cleaning standards set by Executive Head Housekeeper and Supervisor on a daily basis.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duty to assist in the smooth running of the hotel To carry out cleaning the hotel lobby and public facilities (such as the lobby, restrooms, elevators, hallways, front desk and management offices) as per Rota.
Skills Required
  • Previous experience within hospitality essential, preferably hotel experience.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Friendly and Approachable.
  • Desire to learn with a can-do attitude.
  • Flexible approach.
  • To be self-organised.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
