Job Description

I am working with an independent school in London who bring people together from all over the world to create an exciting mix of personalities, attitudes and cultures to source an evening Housekeeper. This school prides themselves on low turnover and thisposition has only come about due to retirement so apply whilst it is hot!Overall purposeThe Housekeepers role is to ensure that the School is kept clean to a high standard at all times. Setting up rooms for events and re-set is also required so that the School and its many activities can function as smoothly as possible. The Housekeeper willcomplete a set list of daily tasks, in addition responding to urgent requests in a timely and efficient manner.The Role:

  • Undertake various cleaning tasks as scheduled by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Operations Manager
  • Set up rooms for events and functions in good time, cleaning before and after as required
  • Respond in a timely manner to urgent requests for cleaning during the shift, as appropriate
  • Prepare the school and surrounding areas (both internally and externally) for the days events
  • Follow proper cleaning and Health & Safety procedures, most specifically CoSHH
You:
  • Have recent experience as a Housekeeper or cleaner in a similar institution
  • Have flexibility and willingness to work occasional unsocial hours as required (weekends, bank holidays, etc.)
  • Have outstanding collaborative skills and a desire to work in a team-focused environment
  • Have a proven commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children
  • Experience working in a school or other educational setting (desirable)
  • Health & Safety training, certification or first aid qualification (desirable)
