Job role: Activate Learning now have an exciting opportunity for a Horticulture Nursery Technician to join our ruralestates/property and environment team at Merrist Wood College. Due to increased demand we will be building state of the art facilities that you will be working with and you will have the opportunity to shape and develop the areas within your remit. In thisrole you will grow, propagate, maintain and enhance a wide range of horticultural resources on the plant nursery and stock grounds at Merrist Wood to support our curriculum delivery, working with our curriculum teams to ensure current industry practice isused and developed through the work on campus.What do you need to be successful in this roleApplicants for this role will have a relevant vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, along with PA1 and PA6 Safe Use of Pesticides. You will have proven experiencein the use of a wide range of specialist equipment and machinery relevant to the role with a minimum of 5 years industry experience.A full driving licence and tractor driving certification is essential, or a willingness to undertake further training relevantto the role.What are the benefits of this roleWorking at Merrist Wood you will be on a 400-acre estate with woodlands, wetlands, livestock, gardens and grasslands.
