Homelessness Prevention & Relief ManagerSouthwark I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for someone to play a key role in shaping and managing the provision of the Councils Housing Solutions Service. Job RoleTo be responsible for the management of a team of housing solutions officers.To ensure the delivery of high quality, customer focused housing options service to households who have approached the Council as homeless, and in housing need, ensuring the provision of comprehensive advice service aimed at resolving housing problems. To effectively manage an assessment service for customers presenting to the Council meeting all required targets to ascertain what duties are owed to them by the authority and what alternative housing options are available to them.Approve decisions made under the Housing Act 1996 as amended by Homelessness Act 2002. To ensure that the Councils obligations in respect of the Housing Act 1996 as amended by the Homelessness Act 2002, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and the Homelessness Code of Guidance for Local Authorities and council policy, aremet.To ensure all Gateway Support Assessments maximises the potential of customers via a housing, education and training programme.To contribute to the strategic direction, policy development, business improvement and leadership in an ever changing environment, ensuring Housing Solutions provide high quality, customer focused andaccessible services.
