About the team:The HIV Liaison Service is a community service based in Lambeth but covers the London boroughs of Lambeth Southwark and Lewisham a community working with individuals with a diagnosis of HIV and mental health conditions. The London boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, and Lewisham have the highest prevalence rates of people living with HIV in all of Europe. For example, in Southwark and Lambeth, over one in 80 people are living with HIV. It is a small team made up of a consultant, nursing, psychology and psychotherapy. We are a multi-professional team of HIV Mental Health Specialists. Our aim is to increase the capacity for mainstream mental health & HIV services to support people living with HIV, who also have a significant mental health problem. We provide advice, training and liaison work to a wide range of statutory and non-statutory mental and physical health care services in the Boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and LewishamAbout the role:This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic mental health professional to lead our HIV liaison service. We are looking for an assertive, approachable and creative individual to manage the day to day running of the team including role modelling high standards of care, reviewing referrals, service development, promoting good practice, maintaining patient and staff safety, completing weekly and monthly audits and leading on quality improvement projects.About the location:We are based at Lambeth Hospital, Landor Road, SW9 9NUOur Trust headquarters is located at Denmark Hill less than 5 minutes from the train station (zone 2).
