speeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Speech and Language Therapy Children’s Service team within Barts Health on a permanent basis for three days a week. The successful applicant will work within the autism assessment service in Tower Hamlets as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising of paediatricians, an occupational therapist, and speech and language therapists. S/He will also work with children with autism in the community, offering intervention and training for parents and children with autism, and supporting colleagues in managing children with autism on their caseloads. Children are seen in a variety of settings, including clinics, children’s homes, preschool settings, and mainstream and special schools in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.The post holder will be supported by the Lead Speech and Language Therapist for Early Years and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and will receive regular supervision and access to professional development opportunities. The post holder will be joining a highly supportive and innovative speech and language therapy department.
