Job Description

DESCRIPTIONAmazon Advertising operates at the intersection of Advertising and eCommerce and offers advertisers a rich array of innovative advertising solutions across Amazon’s mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices and the Amazon Advertising Platform. We believe that advertising, when done well, can enhance the value of the customer experience and generate a positive return on investment for our advertising partners.The WW Event Sponsorships team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to take our EU5 High Traffic Event Sponsorship Program to the next level. This includes leading our advertising strategy for the most important, highest trafficked days on Amazon: Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Your challenge will be to not only grow this existing business, but also re-invent how advertising will power these marquee events for our customers. The person in this role will have single-threaded ownership for our EU5 locales (UK, DE, FR, ES, IT), driving program strategy and delivery, metrics and data, customer experience, packaging/marketing, and advertiser experience. Core skill areas for this role include program launch and marketing, data collection and analytics. You will be expected to establish a vision and key priorities for the program, make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence, and leadership are essential to success in this role. The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, and have experience leading medium to large products and programs. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done. You will be 100% customer focused, understanding their needs and requirements, plus anticipating future trends that will serve their needs. You will also be excellent at written and verbal communications, driving results, and being able to coordinate large, multi-functional projects on-time. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs and balancing the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You will be expected to have strong opinions about design and user experience, as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program. You will be able to lead a program at scale, and participate/influence other senior leaders across the company future direction-setting.Responsibilities include:· Partner with local market segment advertising and retail leadership to identify and prioritize needs for the business.· Partner across Amazon Advertising organization (Product Marketing, Yield, Design, Advertising Operations, Account teams) to execute on event launches· Track and report on performance, ensuring each program is delivering differentiated value against its intended objective· Leverage customer feedback to drive continuous program improvement· Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs vs. technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.· Develop overall execution plans that meet operational requirements, project manage the delivery of sponsorship solutions, and ensure that stakeholders have all the inputs required for flawless operation.· Present confidently to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.· Work at all levels in the organization, with no job being considered too large or small.· Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.· Must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
