Job Description

A highly reputable Investment Management business based in London is currently looking for a Hedge Fund Risk Analyst to join their business in an operational risk focused role, where you will play an integral role in the analysis of Hedge Fund and Fund ofFund Investment , providing key due diligence on operational risk as to drive investment decisions.This is an exciting opportunity for an up and comer in the market to build their career in the Investment and Hedge fund space, working closely with the Head of, performing operational risk due diligence assessments of the firms alternative investments,namely hedge funds.This role is not an internal control focused opportunity, but driven rather by external operational risk due diligence on potential investment clients, and their operational risk soundness.Key duties in the Hedge Fund Risk Analyst role will include:

  • Performing the analysis of asset management businesses with the goal of identifying key risks that the business and fund investment poses to potential/current investors
  • Interacting with on-site with senior asset management operational leadership members (i.e. CEOs, COOs, CFOs, GCs, and CCOs) as part of the initial and on-going due diligence process
  • Documenting due diligence findings in a comprehensive report, ensuring key risks are understood, documented, mitigated or resolved prior to the completion of due diligence
  • Assisting in the structuring of investments across the groups in house platform.
A successful application in the Hedge Fund Risk Analyst role will include:
  • Professional Qualification (ACA, CA, ICAEW, CFA) is highly advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Hedge Funds, Funds of Funds or Investment Management space is required.
  • Approx. 3 years Operational Risk / Operational Due Diligence experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ambitious candidate with a desire to learn and grow with the organisation.
