Job Description

Job Title: SalesmanSalary: up to £40k p/aLocation: London (North West)Working Week: Mon - Fri (1 day a week in office)Our client is a young challenger brand producing a range of award winning snacks including nuts, nut mixes, plantain crisps and their new Rice Crisps with real provenance, flavour and health credentials that set them apart from many. Their range is plant based, natural, gluten free, wholesome and super tasty. They work with local growers in Africa, roasting and toasting many of their range under the African sun!This is a fantastic role for someone that wants the opportunity to be part of a young, dynamic and very entrepreneurial SME business and really make their mark in the company.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Building sales and distribution, predominantly bringing on new accounts and managing some of the existing.
  • You will work across channel, but with a defined account base including OOH accounts and International.
  • Supporting the MD with Grocery accounts and online.
  • You will have full P&L responsibility managing turnover, budget spend, promotions, forecasts to achieve overall targets.
  • You will report to the MD/Partner and also work closely with the Founder/Partner and will work across all business functions, operations, finance, marketing, customer service and NPD to deliver business targets.
  • The type of accounts on your hit list will be Wholesalers like Epicurium, Delicious Ideas, Brakes, Bidfood. Forecourts like Shell and BP, Boots, H&B, Wholefoods and maybe a few more! Fairly quickly we will also look to recruit a further person to support you in the channel, they will report directly to you.
  • Skills & Experience
  • Ideally educated to degree level.
  • Experience in managing national accounts at head office level across wholesale/OOH and maybe a bit of grocery.
  • You will deliver significant growth over the next 3-5 years, driving sales forward by winning new business, grow existing accounts and bring new thinking and ideas to the table.
  • You will be a hungry, tenacious, results driven, bright person with the ability to work in a small, young, fun team and deliver results quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • An interest in food, health and healthy living an advantage.
  • There will be plenty of opportunity for progression and career development as we expand too.
  • Ideally you will be living in London, but not essential and will be expected to be in the office one day a week, the rest out bringing on new customers.
