Job Description

Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor (Retail)Location: London, Regional Role (Fully expensed London travel card provided)Working Hours: Hybrid - 3 days on-site/office, 2 days remoteSalary: £50,000 per annum, with additional bonusesRequirements: NEBOSH General certification or higherAbout the Role:Are you passionate about safety and compliance within the retail sector As a Health and Safety Advisor, your pivotal role is to ensure the safety, legal compliance, and quality standards of our clients stores in the dynamic London area. This position entailsconducting thorough audits/risk assessments across multiple locations to drive enhancements in health and safety practices.What Were Looking For:We seek an individual who embodies these qualities and skills:

  • Safety Enthusiast: Demonstrate a genuine passion for health and safety, with a focus on food safety.
  • Hands-On Experience: Proven experience in site visits, encompassing risk assessments and audits.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all your interactions and tasks.
  • Team Player: Contribute positively to the team dynamic, nurturing a collaborative work environment.
  • Motivation: Bring a high level of enthusiasm, drive, and self-motivation to your daily responsibilities.
  • Effective Communicator: Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess a keen eye for detail, coupled with proficiency in computer usage and excellent planning and organizational abilities.
  • Confidentiality: Uphold confidentiality when dealing with safety investigations and related matters.
  • Autonomy and Teamwork: Display the ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and collaborate seamlessly within a team.
Qualifications:We prefer candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
  • Internal Auditor Certification: While not mandatory, experience in internal auditing is highly advantageous.
  • Health & Safety Qualification: Possession of at least a NEBOSH General Certificate or its equivalent is essential. Technical Member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (Tech IOSH) preferred as well.
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within the retail or hospitality industry is a significant advantage.
