Job Description

Business Services Team Overview Our Business Services team is a collective of creative, strategic, forward-thinking business enablers. Together the People & Culture, Marketing & Communications, IT, Operations, Finance and Quality & Risk Management teams make it their mission to ensureMazars has the right tools, technology, strategies and services in place to deliver exceptional client service and future-proof our growing business. Job Purpose The Head of Technology Operations is responsible for IT services including Operations and Applications functions, to ensure that on a day to day basis, the IT services that are key to enabling the business are managed to ensure these are available, secureand performant.There are a team of 6 technology consultants, analysts and application specialists plus a technical team leader who would report in to this role. There are also a number of key service providers who are engaged to provide support to the operations function,which this role would also need to oversee. Role and Responsibilities Oversight of the technology estate to ensure it is operated in line with best practice industry standards, that key performance metrics are captured and reported against and the estate is kept optimised including areas such as patching, that technology remainsupdated in line with vendor support plus good practice in areas including data cleansing and archiving, backup and recovery.The candidate must be experienced in driving improvement, identifying and owning change with a track record of transforming operations teams.The current technology stack uses a variety of technologies, and there is strategic objective to accelerate transition to cloud. All aspects of transition including commercials, resourcing and support model will need to be planned out to enable a successfulfuture delivery roadmap.The candidate will be experienced in a broad variety of technology areas including infrastructure, applications including databases and messaging, networks and desktop support, They will have experience leading technology functions with a track record ofdelivering a high professional standard technology function at a significant organisation (1,500 seats) , with experience in professional services beneficial.Leading and developing a team to deliver to high standards in performance and operational maturity as well as transition to new and emerging technologies. They will also engage and drive performance in third parties and will have a solid understanding ofcommercials and licensing agreements to ensure value for money in the function.As a key member of the Biztech Management Team, they will work closely with their peers under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer. Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience and/or knowledge of broad technology applications and operations which could include:
    • MCSA: Windows Server 2008 or 2012 or 2016
    • ITIL V3/4 Foundation Certification
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
    • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA) for Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7
    • Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) for XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x
    • VMware certified Professional (VCP5) or Higher
    • Commvault Certified Professional
    • Windows 2008/2012/2016 Core Services (DNS, DHCP, DFS-R, etc.)
    • Windows 2008/2012/2016 Directory Services (Group Policy management, Configuration, Scripting)
    • IT systems infrastructure. (Systems, Storage, Networks, Virtualization)
    • Medium to large size Citrix environments (XenApp 6.x, 7.x)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server products
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Server & Desktop)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and Operation Manager (SCCM/SCOM).
    • Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft Azure and Office365 services.
    • Knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery solutions.
    • Knowledge of Virtualized Environments (vSphere, Hyper-V and XenServer)
    • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI Layers/Addressing/ Switching/Routing).
    • Knowledge of security fundamentals (Confidentiality/Integrity/Availability/AAA/Security Policies)
    • Knowledge of SAN and HCI Infrastructure and server management platforms
    • Knowledge of Backup solutions including Commvault
    • Working knowledge of Networking environments Including: Configuration, Installation, Supporting & Diagnosing Cisco Routers and Switches. Cisco Wireless Access points
