Head of Strategy & DeliveryDarlington, £49,500 - £54,000London, £52,500 - £57,000Working pattern:This post is available on a full time, part time or job share basis, and flexible working hours can be accommodated.LocationThe post will be based in London(1 Horse Guards Road) and/or Darlington (Bishopsgate House until the office in central Darlington is established in 2022). Most Treasury employees will work a hybrid pattern, spending half their working week in the office and half working remotely. This will include developing toolkits and processes to keep us on track to achieve our objectives, andto collate information to keep ministers and senior officials updated on progress. While your responsibilities in this role may evolve in response to ministerial priorities and developments in the UKs relationship with the EU, the key accountabilities forthis role will include: You will be responsible for line managing in line with HMT values, creating a positive and inclusive environment and supporting staff through an ambitious and evolving environment. You will also be part of the management team for theEuropean Engagement Unit (totalling 11 staff) as well as the cross-team management cohort. Supporting the Head of Unit in monitoring and reviewing implementation of HMTs European engagement strategy, ensuring there is coherence across the department and effectivecollaboration with others in the UK and overseas. Co-leading the teams country leads network, providing guidance and support to desk officers in relation to developing and delivering engagement opportunities Building on ESEs network of contacts across Whitehall,British embassies in Europe, and European embassies in London, leading our work in establishing positive relationships to support the successful implementation of our departmental strategies.The Darlington Economic Campus is a pioneering new cross-governmenthub which will bring together people across departments and public organisations to play an active role in the most important economic issues of the day.
