Job Description

Head of Social Media / Social Media Manager who is experienced, strategic and a highly creative individual with a PR background to lead the social media marketing efforts across all clients within the company is required for a well-establishedmarketing agency.SALARY: CompetitiveLOCATION: PartRemote / Work from Home and the Office. (Candidates can work from home for 2 days per week and then work for 3 days per week either from the London or Essex Office, whichever is closer)JOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Head of Social Media / Social Media Manager who is experienced, strategic and a highly creative individual with a PR background to lead the social media marketing efforts across all clients within the company.Working as Head of Social Media / Social Media Manager the position is to work autonomously within the company to drive, build and devise strategy and oversee the social offering for the agency, lead new business opportunities across the company and workto bring in new social media accounts. You will work to create best-in-class strategies, market-leading creative content and leveraging both established and emerging platforms and will direct all social media activities to help engage new and existing customersthat ultimately drive conversions.As Head of Social Media / Social Media Manager you will also encompass the Marketing Director position, setting the internal group strategy across the 3 companies for the year across all channels, and working with the Marketing Manager to ensure they areactioning all activity you have planned, and ensure the company are being positioned at the forefront of agencies in their field.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour role as Head of Social Media / Social Media Manager will include:

  • Develop market-leading social media strategies based around high-quality content for clients balancing outside-of-the-box ideas with tried-and-tested, collaborate with the creative studio on fresh attention-grabbing ideas, and work with the team to ensurethey are managed effectively, reported on and improved consistently across all channels
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital at the companys sister agency on paid media strategies to ensure clients are getting the most out of their marketing activity
  • Bring PR experience to the role to ensure the platforms are in line with client PR strategies
  • Lead in presenting strategies, content ideas, and realised assets to senior stakeholders within clients as well as potential clients for new business opportunities
  • Recognise the full scope of a piece of content to generate the most value for money for clients across all marketing channels
  • Shape and lead the team to develop the strategies, show continuous improvement and growth to benefit clients
  • Implement listening and responding processes, oversee conversation audits and influencer research
  • Set reputation management and crisis comms strategy
  • Oversee the reporting on the performance of the social strategy against the agreed KPIs and consistently implement improvements to the strategies and/or content produced
  • Oversee the execution of this plan by the Marketing Manager
  • Ensure the Marketing Manager is reporting on the effectiveness of all activity
  • Review the existing SEO strategies for ongoing clients to suggest off-page strategies including content and link opportunities
  • Build on the on-page proposals created for new business opportunities to improve the overall SEO strategies, increase billing in this area and win new clients
  • Accomplish department objectives by managing staff, planning and evaluating department activities to manage resource as well as financial performance
  • Lead in hiring processes and new team member training
  • Contribute heavily to the growth of the company through social media, SEO and the companys own marketing
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Marketing degree
  • Proven experience of creating strategies, recognizing opportunities for unique and successful content, and generating new ideas for social media activity that utilise video heavily
  • Proven success in pitching and winning social media business for an agency
  • Proven experience of leading a team to manage platforms, take learnings from performance and adapting strategies
  • Experience of creating content alongside a strategy to try to force the content to go viral with big ideas
  • Proven experience of working with influencers
  • Experience of integrating Digital with PR and Comms strategies
  • Experience working with the leads of departments across the agency and sister agencies
  • Proven experience of using creative, engaging content to improve SEO strategies for clients
  • Proven experience of creating marketing strategies for companies to self promote
  • An excellent understanding of how social media works alongside SEO, PPC and other elements of the marketing mix. Demonstrates extensive working knowledge of all existing social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, SnapChat, TikTok)as well as emerging ones, ones from overseas markets, and how these will fit in with the clients activity
  • Excellent strategic skills including conducting research, utilizing statistics from reports and taking these forwards into a robust strategy with expected results and considered KPIs
  • A driven individual who can use their initiative
  • Proactive in generating ideas
  • Creative minded and keen to work closely with the Head of Video and the Creative Director
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
