Head of Secondary - Sharjah - August 2021I am seeking a fully qualified and experienced Head of Secondary to lead a British Curriculum school in Sharjah to commence August 2021. This school is part of a larger group of schools that follows Islamic values and ethos coupled with a western and more modern curriculumMost of the students are either local Emirati or are from Arabic/Muslim backgrounds, where English is not the first language. Preferred candidates are those that have experience teaching in the Middle East with non-native studentsRequirements: Bachelors Degree in Education or related subjects M.Ed is preferred Minimum of 5 years teaching experience following the UK National Curriculum and at least 2 years in school administration UK Teaching and/or Leadership Qualification (PGCE, QTS, NPQH, NPQML, NPQSL) In-depth knowledge of curriculum development and effective pedagogy Sound understanding of assessment, recording, and reporting Understanding of strategies for school improvement Knowledge of how the effective use of data and target setting can raise standards Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current educational issues Tech-savvy and competent in using MS Office and Google AppsThe school has a state-of-the-art building located in Sharjah, which is about 20 minutes from Dubai and is part of the BSME schools.
