Job Description

FMC Smart Industry are excited to be partnering with a multi-award winning and world first technology provider of accurate augmented reality (AR) for the global construction sector. Backed by a host of well-known investors, their unique AR hardware and software is the most precise holographic solution on the market with customers in the UK, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden (and soon to be the USA) already benefiting from onsite visual models. Their product aims to solve the headaches presented by converting 3D designs into 2D drawings, thus savings on costs, time and efforts later on during the construction project cycle.Named amongst the top 3 hottest starts-ups in addition to a top 3 construction technology firm, FMC’s client are truly taking the construction industry by storm.The roleHaving recently secured Series A funding, they are seeking to onboard an ambitious and determined Head of Sales to join their talented sales team by utilising their knowledge of product and solution sales to the global construction market. You will help to penetrate new markets by utilising your existing network of contacts, experience of value-based selling and ideally knowledge of bringing a new and unique product to market. Whilst their proposition is incredibly strong, you must have an appreciation for the challenges faced by construction professionals and be able to help educate them on how their solution could revolutionise their workflows.You will benefit from marketing support such as, investor pitch decks and case studies to help prove ROI to prospects and even spend time onsite to demonstrate an instant ROI. Within a 12-month period, they would typically like to achieve a team revenue target of circa £1M and you will help to present innovative ideas and sales strategies to help achieve this. Should this target be met, and a second round of funding secured, you will then build a sales team to effectively support your activity in lead generation, prospect engagement and more in 2021.The requirementsYou will ideally possess a University degree in Business, Science or Construction in addition to:

  • Being a self-starter with an appetite for success, who is proactive and able to credibly engage with customers over a brand-new and exciting AR technology offering
  • A background in closing large deal sizes and driving sales growth, ideally in solution or product sales for the global construction sector
  • A desire or experience of working within a start-up culture, knowledge of new product sales and able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess an established network of contacts within the construction market to utilise
  • A successful track record in sales by meeting monthly and annual sales targets whilst able to present effective sales strategies
  • Flexible to travel regularly
