"Join a start-up confectionery and snack foods business and lead their expansion into discount and convenience retailers"THE COMPANYA start-up private label confectionery and snack foods business with manufacturing partners in Europe and other regions. The company is already off to an impressive start with a major convenience listing already secured but they’re looking for help expandingfurther into other discount and convenience stores. They offer a range of convenience food products including confectionery, crisps nuts and snacks, and other impulse products. The company behind the brand promotes an entrepreneurial spirit and prides itselfon its non-corporate culture. This is an opportunity to achieve success on your own terms and work to your own schedule.THE ROLE

  • Identify and target retailers and distributors within the FMCG discount and convenience sector
  • Foster strong customer relationships through client entertainment such as events, dinners, and leisure activities
  • Present the product and value proposition to key stakeholders, showcasing the unique benefits of the brand
  • With the help of sales support manage the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to product delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams on creating and executing marketing and promotional strategies to amplify sales, profitability, and market share
  • Stay on top of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges
ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record of successful business development in the FMCG sector, with a focus on establishing and nurturing relationships within discount/convenience retail. Category experience within privatelabel Impulse, Confectionery, Crisps / Nuts / Snacks, or Snack Foods. You will be target driven, commercially aware, and able to build rapport quickly. You will be enthusiastic about fostering strong customer relationships through client entertainment suchas events, dinners, and leisure activities. Flexible to travel as needed.THE REWARDThe company champions autonomy so you won’t be micromanaged - you will manage your own working hours and be judged on results alone, so how you spend your time is up to you. Financially, you will be well rewarded for your efforts with a base salary of between£80,000 - £90,000 + Car Allowance + Private Medical + Impressive OTE Potential based on sales performance.
