Working with the risk and assurance committee, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leadinga risk based corporate assurance strategy, managing a team of c.12 employees.What will you be responsible for Developing and implementing an Assurance strategy, operating model and plan that enables continual improvement, and aligns with the UKAEA StrategyProviding independent assurance and reporting to the CEO Reviewing and improving the Corporate Risk Management Framework and tools to ensure robust identification, assessment and mitigation of risks Providing awareness or other best practice interventionsin order to promote and sustain a proactive governance culture Ensuring the provision of an independent risk based integrated audit programme to evaluate the effectiveness of UKAEA policies, procedures and management controls, making recommendations for improvementProvide strong visible leadership, governance and independence to the organisation in assurance matters in accordance with legislation, standards and best practice Collaborating with key stakeholders, assisting them to integrate good governance practice intoexisting business mechanisms and processes, at both strategic and operational levels Manage, coach and lead the Assurance team, ensuring that the technical and behavioural competencies are aligned Oversee the Fusion Safety Authority Function, providing independentadvice to UK regulators on the development and establishment of a fusion regulatory framework for the UK Chair the Corporate Risk Review Group and the Assurance Executive CommitteePlease note that we are open to considering applicants who are seeking part-timehours or a job share (at least 3 days per week).
