Job Description

Head of Recruitment/ResourcingLondon, Bristol OR Manchester (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the Office)Day rates: £500-£575 per day 9 months INSIDE IR35Concept Resourcing are looking for Head of Recruitment/Resourcing to join a Central Government client based in London/Bristol OR Manchester. This is an initial 9 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £500-£575 per day, depending on experience.Role:

  • Lead the refresh, development and delivery of our recruitment strategy
  • Lead on the ongoing improvement of process to ensure its fit for purpose and has the user needs at the heart of it
  • Work collaboratively to ensure the attraction and selection methods for DDaT recruitment are effective, fair and professional at all times.
  • Drive the early talent programme to include apprenticeships, internships, work placements and GDS academies schemes
  • Embed the service offered to departments to recruit DDaT specialists across the Civil Service and develop a work plan aligned to the needs of our key government stakeholders
  • Provide an effective induction programme to give SCS DDaT leaders the best possible start
  • Work with Finance and HR to join up recruitment, succession planning, talent management and D&I to bring structure to workforce plans and systems
  • Using market data and insights to improve the recruitment experience and reduce the risk of failed campaigns
The ideal candidate must have the following experience;
  • Previous Central Government or Public Sector experience would be desirable.
  • Experience of operating as a successful talent acquisition specialist, and leading an internal recruitment function within a medium to large organisation
  • Sound knowledge of headhunting/sourcing/pipe-lining candidates through a variety of cost-effective channels
  • Experience of designing and driving employer brand strategy and recruitment marketing to deliver strategic diversity and inclusivity objectives
  • An authentic people leader with effective influencing skills who is able to work collaboratively
  • Experience of leading high performing teams to deliver a broad, joined up and effective service
  • Demonstrable capacity for strategic thinking, planning and contributing on a broad scale
  • An effective change agent who proactively takes a whole systems approach to leadership and the delivery of change
  • A proven track record of operating successfully at senior management levels across all groups to deliver great outcomes
  • Experienced in the use of data to provide intelligence led solutions to business issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience of stakeholder management
