Job Description

Head of Pricing sought for a permanent position in a leading insurance company based in London. Our client is looking for a Head of Pricing with an experienced background in Personal Lines pricing. As the Head of Pricing you will be leading your division in delivering a pricing strategy for home products.Responsibilities of the Head of Pricing:

  • Delivering a pricing strategy for our home product lines
  • Lead the development of pricing models, pricing rules and rating approaches
  • Analyse net rates from insurer partners and understand the commercial value of partnerships
  • Seek data items that which hold value in both net and gross pricing
  • Monitor actual versus expected performance of pricing models
  • Establish pricing frameworks which minimize the risk and cost
  • Create a framework for home pricing team to respond to pricing queries from various business areas
    • Skills and experience of the Head of Pricing:
  • Hold a technical or numerical degree and / or demonstrable numerical reasoning skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the critical aspects of successful pricing
  • Understanding the drivers of Personal Lines insurance business
  • Knowledge of the markets for your product line within home insurance
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding a range of insurance administration and data management systems (Radar, Guidewire, SQL, Tableau etc.)
  • Recognised insurance qualification
  • Qualified Actuary - advantageous, although those qualified by experience will be equally considered
  • Excel Expert - advantageous
