Job Description

Mauvais is a Direct to Consumer Apparel brands for men that is becoming famous for its unique fabrics, patterns, silhouettes and designs. Today, Jordan and his founding team have grown the company to £6m revenue profitably, with no external funding; justgreat product market fit and hard graft! One catalyst for growth has been the USA. As Mauvais broadened its advertising into the USA, predominantly though paid social media they discovered USA consumers loved Mauvais unique cuts, patterns and designs. Spottingthis quickly Mauvais invested more in USA centric Influencer/Creators and Ads.In December 2021 Mauvais engaged The Growth Foundation, a proven ecommerce growth consultancy (Gymshark, Ruroc, The Hut Group, Schuh) to help Mauvais scale up from a product business run from a bedroom to a global brand, which is famous for something biggerthan great products, To unlock this potential (to hit £50m within 5 years), Mauvais is now ready to invest in the right people to achieve this. This role is one of the most important for Mauvais and will be a career defining opportunity to get involved atsuch an early (but secure) stage and make such an impact and wealth in the medium term future.About The Role:Youll own demand creation in both paid media, customer relationship management and ecommerce trading (CRO) for Mauvais, so youll have incredible autonomy to control your sales channels and growth. In terms of Visual Merchandising of Mauvaiss websites,youll obsess about increasing net revenues, average order size and value and of course, cost per acquisition, customer lifetime value, customer satisfaction, conversion rate of traffic to customers and customer experience through intimate knowledge and processof reducing exits/bounces from our home, category, landing, basket and checkout pages.Role Responsibilities:Own the net revenue, average order size, value, conversion rate for Mauvais;Own all visual merchandising of your stores from products to signposting and engaging content that makes a sale today;Own the analytical and CRO tools that will help you unlock greater insight to build hypothesis to test and generate incremental output on your KPIs;Own the operational (stock) merchandising / forecasting for the businessLead Paid Media (Acquisition) team to align on activity, you need them to deliver high volume of high quality traffic to hit your objectives;Lead all Customer Retention tactics and deliver best practice in eCRM, Segmentation, Customer Insight, Loyalty / VIP, community programmes and other emerging channels that unlock 100% growth in 2020;Set, monitor CPA and LTV by customer segment to deliver profitable retention activity for Mauvais and establish KPIs for yourself/your team to work against;Build a foundation to share more and better insight than our peer group / competitors with our 3rd party partners; make Mauvais famous with our partners at being the best at eCommerce.Support and Challenge the Technology team to design, develop and deploy the tools you need to deliver your objectives;Work closely with the Brand & broader Commercial / Sales teams and feed in tactical, irresistible offers / promotions into the Mauvais campaign calendar;Work closely with Commercial / Finance Analyst/s to unlock, Customer Insight (through deep segmentation), Marketing Insight, Business Insight which leads to optimisation of your activity;Hire, lead and coach a leading-edge team to help execute against goals;Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practice, with CRO, CpA & LTV focus;Keep up to date with eCommerce & CRO / Trading best practice of tomorrow through training, research etc;Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;Effectively communicate and collaborate with Mauvais stakeholders;Uphold Mauvaiss PLAYBOOK;Think like a customer, all the time, every day.ABOUT YOU:7+ years experience managing / leading digital retail / ecommerce; a natural shopkeeper; fixated on delivering your promise to the customer.Great knowledge / experience with Analytical / CRO tools like Google Analytics , HotJar etcGood knowledge / experience of demand creation using paid media (with Social in particular)Great knowledge of Magento / Shopify+ and common 3rd party applications (Nosto, etc)Have great understanding of retail, ecommerce and marketing businessesYoure a natural retailer; obsessed with delivering your promise to customersCRO methodology at the heart of everything you doHave a proven track record as a commercial individual, who understands brand and customer (shopper)Intellectual and emotional intelligence in balanced / equal measureUnderstand how to maximise output in conversion activity where a mix of skill / talent types is required (data analysis vs creative visual merchandising and UX are quite different approaches)Are a subjective thinker in terms of ideas, following your instinct, but youll be used to using internal/external data to underpin your ideas with confidenceYou are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individualsHave superior analytical skills to track and manage performanceHave excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuasively sell ideaA quick leMauvaisr who can process lots of information and prioritise actionEffectively navigate and collaborate cross-functionallyAre an outcomes focused manager, with strong team orientationAre bullish about Mauvais and its potential
