We combine high-touch consultancy with worldwide search capability and digital sourcing technologies to help you recruit better, faster and cost effectively.Job description:Our client is looking for a Head of People Operations immediately, based in London for a period of 3 to 6 months and possible further extension.Reporting to Head of People ChangePurpose of the role To drive operational excellence and compliance across core people processes, policies and procedures, delivering the end-to-end operational people basics as part of our People Modernisation agenda.Rate – Up to £600 per dayWhat we look forAmbitious and driven individuals with a strong background in:

  • Leadership experience of a fast-paced and detail orientated people operations function ideally one that has been using or implemented Workday.
  • Excellent working knowledge of HRIS with a focus on innovation and how insight can drive the business forward.
  • Strategic thinking with excellence in operational delivery. Ability to improve operational delivery with a focus on engagement and end to end delivery.
  • Experience of end to end process mapping / flow – i.e. Agile / Systems Thinking bringing real attention to detail and care of getting things right first time.
  • Experience of developing and implementing HR policies / Union Management
  • Ability to develop relationships and manage stakeholders and in the broader organisation.
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR, governance principles and privacy requirements.
  • Has a curious mind, sees the opportunity that data can bring to enable strategic decisions.
  • Is a thought provoking, caring leader who engages their team, helps them play to their strengths and focuses on motivation and creating a culture where all their team can bring their best selves to work.

  • Skills and attributes for success
  • Lead, coach and nurture the People Operations team, responsible for the areas of people policies, processes, data reporting & analytics and HR Information system (HRIS) implementation.
  • Lead the HRIS implementation (Workday), ensuring system changes streamline people processes and maximise the use of people data and support the coordination of P&T resources for configuration/system development.
  • Overseeing the management of colleague queries to service delivery standards, applying shared service model principles.
  • Continuous improvement of use of our people system (currently SAP and transitioning to Workday), promoting good data processes and procedures relating to core people data and records. Ensures privacy and GDPR requirements are met.
  • Support key processes such as Payroll, Onboarding/Offboarding, Right to Work, Security Vetting, Workplace Adjustments, Conflicts of Interest and our Covid19 response.
  • Oversee people policy development and management of the relationship with Union/Colleague Forum.
  • Embedding an end to end people data, analytics, insight and measurement process, working closely with the Culture & Leadership and Talent team.
  • Oversight of all BAU HR supplier contracts and relationships, ensuring they are reviewed and procured effectively.
