Job Description

A leadership role for a Head of Payroll has arisen to take ownership over Payroll for a fast growing international fintech firm.Salary: £85,000- £100,000 + excellent bonus + benefitsThis role will be remote working with the occasional visit to their head offices in Europe.Main Duties:

  • To manage and lead a payroll team of 8.
  • To be the main point of contact between employees and the third party provider.
  • Participation and leadership on projects to continuously improve current systems.
  • Ensuring clear communication and interface with other departments and business units in meeting business requirements.
  • Plan and create strategies to ensure achievement of the payroll objectives.
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure all amounts and payment dates are accurate.
  • Approve one-time or permanent changes in payroll (e.g. salary increases, tax deduction, bonuses, expense reimbursements).
  • Train employees who are involved in payroll on tax regulations and best practices.
  • Manage payroll discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll and tax laws.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR to create payroll reports and forecasts.
  • Answer payroll-related questions from employees.
  • Stay up-to-date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations.
Required candidate profile:
  • In-depth international experience
  • Experience of working with a fast-paced, fast changing environment
  • Proven experience of managing multiple stakeholders
  • Able to lead and influence a team
