Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Marketing to cover a maternity leave from May 2021.We are looking for an organised, all-rounder who thinks digital first and is adept in all parts of the marketing mix. The jobholder will require excellent leadership, strategy, sales, and marketing management to effectively influence and communicate the strategic direction of the marketing activities/plan to our B2B and B2C audience.Key responsibilities:BRAND

  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing the over-arching brand proposition, brand communication strategy and all creative
  • Collaborate with designers to produce creative for all mediums making sure it is on brand according to brand guidelines
  • Responsible for creating, assisting in, or proofing content/copy creation; ensuring all content created follows the overall brand strategy
  • Identify brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities (in partnership with social media agency), develop strategies to leverage brand engagement and drive sales across all channels
  • Quality assurance of all work produced by marketing department
  • MARKETING PLAN
  • Responsible for managing and executing Banham’s integrated annual marketing plan, campaign calendar and budget, which aligns with the business strategy and focuses on all disciplines to drive demand and new customer acquisition including web content, digital advertising (SEO/SEM, social media, programmatic, EDMs and more), e-commerce and analytics and CRM
  • DIGITAL MARKETING
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of campaigns based on the annual campaign calendar - from development through delivery and post campaign analysis (writing creative briefs, concepting copy and creative direction, managing reporting and analysing data)
  • Manage reports on campaign success levels and maximise return on investment for allocated budget - including conversions, impressions, and average positions
  • A/B testing with PPC and adverts to establish the best click through rates and analyse results
  • Analyse return on investment of all PPC campaigns, remarketing, digital display, and social campaigns
  • Oversee the reporting of all data including but not limited to google website analytics, AdWords, social media, and keyword rankings
  • Oversee Social media strategy and management of partner agency
  • Oversee SEO strategy and management of partner agency
  • Oversee yearly content calendar; manage the timely receipt of articles/content from partner agencies, upload to blog and repurpose where appropriate for social media and EDMs
  • Oversee the EDM (electronic direct mail) calendar; concept, write briefs and launch EDMs based on 2021 campaign calendar and needs of the business
  • Oversee website maintenance tickets and optimisations related to content website as well as B2C and B2B ecommerce on the Magento platform
  • BUDGET
  • Budgetary control of all marketing; developing business cases for spending based on robust return on investment modelling.
  • PHOTOSHOOTS & VIDEOS
  • Oversee photoshoots according to annual photography brief and one-off shoots as needed. Provide briefs/strategic direction to creative team, assisting with shoots and approving final creative making sure all photos are on-brand
  • Oversee video production from brief to storyboard, production, and final on-brand product
  • DEPARTMENT & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Conduct monthly meeting with Sales Team. Coordinate marketing campaigns with sales activities and planning and implementation of these campaigns
  • Lead project management: develop and maintain project plans where necessary, including documentation of project scope, objectives, deliverables, key milestones, timelines, cost estimating and managing internal and external resources.
  • Provide regular status reports and progress updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage an existing team, as well as direct and manage external resources such as our Website Agency, SEO agency and Social Media agency etc.

  • Requirements:
  • At least 6-14 years’ experience in a marketing role
  • At least 3-5 years in a managerial role managing a small team
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and understanding of platforms, metrics and their capabilities.
  • Experience in Google Analytics
  • Independently manage multiple projects at a time and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Excellent in copywriting, with the ability to draft clear, concise and compelling marketing copy for all marketing materials (printed materials, presentations, website, emails etc)
  • Good creative sense
  • Good understanding of optimising websites, mobile and digital products
  • Strong anayltical and prject management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering marketing campaigns and experience with high end products/services (desirable)
  • Communicate ideas from Board level to team members

  • Up to £60,000 per annum (pro rated)
  • Working hours: Mon-Fri 8.30-17.30
  • Location: Working from home (subject to change based on Covid-19)
  • 20 days + all public and bank holidays accumulated on a pro-rata, contractual basis
