Job Description

The role of Head of Marketing: This is a new position within the organisation, designed to bring together the sales and marketing functions, create a best-in-class B2B commercial lead generation marketing strategy, and drive business growthglobally. The Head of Marketing will report to the COO and will be responsible for creating and executing our clients marketing strategy to create more MQLs that will be successfully nurtured into an SQL. The first 3 months will include a complete audit ofthe existing marketing function (limited), meeting with senior stakeholders to establish key goals, and coming up with an appropriate strategy to meet those goals. The business has invested in the latest marketing tech but need someone with prior experienceof marketing automation technologies to fully integrate the platforms and maximise functionality. This is a great opportunity for either a Senior Marketing Manager to step up and take on a lead marketing role in a global business; or for a current Head ofMarketing that wants to directly report in to the C-Suite of an exciting SaaS business and own a marketing strategy.Day to day responsibilities of the Head of Marketing include:

  • Design the marketing strategy and operational plan for the brand and each relevant product across all relevant channels
  • Own the execution of all marketing activities, including adjusting the plan as required, hands-on execution and working with internal and external teams
  • Work with various teams to produce high quality content and distribute it effectively across all relevant channels
  • Work closely with product and business development to design and execute effective events and campaigns for high quality lead generation
  • Organise targeted events for existing and potential counterparties as well as for recruitment efforts
  • Drive MQLs and SQLs for both new business and upsell to existing clients
  • Generating a volume of content (either writing, curating or commissioning where necessary) to be used for inbound marketing campaigns
  • Integrating marketing technologies to ensure best-in-class campaigns
  • Build fact-base to be able monitor and report results of all activities and make commercially sound recommendations
  • Be the face of the marketing team, building out the function in order to create a high performance team
To be considered for this role you must have:
  • Successfully created and delivered a commercial B2B lead generation strategy
  • Have a strong track record of delivering MQLs that successfully covert to SQLs
  • Have a proven track record of growing opportunity pipeline
  • Worked closely with sales functions and understand how to work best with them
  • Managed and built a revenue focussed marketing team (internal direct reports, and agency support)
  • Have a proven track record of growing opportunity pipeline
  • Have experience working within the SaaS space
  • Experience of implementing broad, B2B, marketing campaigns from start to finish
