As a result, they are able to support people with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live the life they want to lead: happy, healthy, respected as equals and valued for their contribution within communitiesThey aim to be the best social care employer in London and are proud of their reputation as a London employer - employing more than a 1,000 staff and volunteers with a turnover of £34m.The role:Following the retirement of the current postholder, the opportunity has arisen for a Head of Learning and Organisation Development to work in partnership with the Director of HR, and wider team to ensure our client delivers efficient, consistent and sustainable people development in order to achieve their strategic aims.You’ll be responsible for leading on the development, and implementation of our client’s Talent Strategy, as well as the planning and management of their Learning and Organisation Development function.You’ll lead your team with a clear sense of direction, priority, and pace, and will ensure an integrated approach to mandatory, vocational and organisational learning.Principle Responsibilities:- Contribute to the delivery of the HR strategy and work with the HR Leadership team and other team members on initiatives spanning their areas- To develop and implement a Talent Strategy in collaboration with the Director of HR and key stakeholders, including Strategic Leadership Group- Foster relationships across the Leadership Team, Managers, External Support Networks and other key stakeholders - Contribute to the improvement of our client’s person-centred practice and performance orientated culture - To provide support to the Qualifications Lead to develop our apprenticeship schemes and ensure the Certitude ILM Centre and the Vocational Assessment Centre (NVQ) are working effectively and giving people access to key qualifications- Manage the recruitment, induction, development and performance of team members- To contribute to or lead projects or working groups as requested Person Specification:Essential:- Able to build leadership credibility, rapport and influence internally and externally- Able to work autonomously, you will be a highly motivated and emotionally resilient individual- Able to manage and motivate colleagues to achieve high levels of performance- Highly effective written, verbal and presentational communication skills, able to facilitate groups and present convincingly at all levels- Able to use consultancy and partnership building techniques and skills to plan and implement change at a strategic and operational level- CIPD qualification or equivalent- Post graduate qualification in organisational development or recognised consultancy qualification- Qualified to degree level or demonstrable experience- Management and leadership qualification or demonstrable experience- Knowledge of Learning and organisation development interventions to support cultural change- Coaching qualification- Prepared to travel to different services/offices and work occasional unsocial hoursOur Client’s Benefits:- A competitive salary- A stimulating work environment full of opportunities to learn and develop- An attractive package of 27 days’ annual leave, pension scheme, access to a 24-hour Employee Assistance counselling- They will pay for your Enhanced DBS- Eyecare vouchers- Travel season ticket loan & Cycle to work Scheme (after a years’ service)- PerkboxAll our client’s posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure as well as a need for full employment history from time of leaving compulsory education and up to date employment references.
