Job Description

Head of IT Security required by award-winning firm in the City.The Head of IT Security role provides overall leadership, direction, management and execution of all aspects of information security support to Digital and the wider business, including management of audit, risk and control matters for the Digitaldepartment.Key Requirements:.

  • Provide leadership, direction and manages execution of all aspects of Information Security for the organisation and Digital, including technology governance, policies, processes and controls.
  • Defines information security policies, processes and best practices across business units that establish clear guidelines for handling security matters and managing risk.
  • Evaluates information security and technology risk and integrate with risk management processes, providing information security direction and advice to business and technology projects as required.
  • Advises on the design, implementation and maintenance of specialized hardware and software that secures the information technology environment, enduring that applications are appropriately secure and aligned with corporate security standards.
  • Identifies and defines gaps in security technology environment and advice on appropriate operational or technology requirement to address those gaps.
  • Interfaces with internal and external auditors, regulators, Legal/Compliance and senior management on security matters.
  • Establishes and maintains activities and procedures to monitor the environment for suspicious activity or threats.
  • Defines and implement escalation processes to identify and review critical security incidents, issues and anomalies, providing assistance in the coordination of responses to security incidents.
Experience Needed
  • Ability to translate technology and security into business terms.
  • Experience in working with key information security technologies.
  • Experience with working to varying levels of security controls including government security standards.
  • Preferred - CISSP/CISA/CISM security certification (or equivalent).
