One of the worlds leading universities is looking to recruit a Head of Internal Audit to lead a small team of experienced auditors, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and Audit Committee.You will manage the Universitys Internal Audit Service which adoptsa modern risk-based approach to internal auditing and is committed to performing its work in conformance with the definition, code of ethics and international standards of the CIIA. You will be exposed to the Universitys full range of administrative and operationalactivities, systems and processes.This is a truly fantastic opportunity to have a scope which is as challenging as it is rewarding giving you and the IA team team the ability to be able to target work where it is most needed, to deliver value in all the rightplaces and to really influence the strategy and operation of the University, and the people who drive it.To be considered you must hold a relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIIA), alongside demonstrable experience either within the education or wider publicsector, potentially from a Top 10 firm perspective too. You must have an understanding of delivering best practice within an internal audit function including knowledge of risk management, fraud investigation and governance structures and how these are appliedlarge, complex organizations.Using your first class stakeholder and strong leadership skills, you will have proven ability to manage and motivate a team of professional staff and a strong commitment to excellence in working with a diverse staff and studentpopulation.
