HEAD OF HR BUSINESS PARTNERING AND OPERATIONS PERMANENT LONDON - HYBRID -2/3 DAYS ONSITE£63,000 - 72,000

If so, the Barbican is seeking a dynamic individual to join their evolving People, Culture and Inclusion team, as the Head of HR Business Partnering & Operations.The BarbicanAs a globally renowned Centre for the Arts, the Barbican is a creative catalyst, sparking possibilities and transformation for artists, audiences, and communities. Nestled in the heart of the City of London, this iconic architectural landmark is a placefor discovery, a refuge for personal reflection, and a rich resource for the local community - a place to inspire, connect and provoke debate. Over the last 18 months, following the Barbican Stories, the organisation initiated a major cultural change andtransformation programme, setting a new strategic roadmap with diversity and inclusion at the heart of it.The Role In this permanent role of Head of HR Business Partnering and Operations, you will play a vital part in this change journey. With a team of 8, this role will lead the way on the people agenda. You will be responsible for;
  • Leading and mentoring a team of HR Business Partners and HR advisors, fostering a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and development.
  • Driving the continuous improvement agenda across the entire employee lifecycle with a focus on engagement, welfare activities, maximising productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers and building leadership capability
  • Aligning HR objectives and strategy with the Barbicans new strategic framework goals, working closely with the Director of People and Culture and Head of Org Design & Development on various programmes of work.
  • Manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Building strong, trust-based relationship with senior stakeholders and the City of London Corporation.
  • Management of senior complex or sensitive employment relations cases and a point of escalation for the team surrounding employment law and risk.
  • Leadership development, strategic workforce planning, recruitment, and other strategic HR projects.

To be a part of this journey and successful in this role, were looking for a Senior HR Generalist / Business Partners witha collaborative and innovative leadership style, and proven ability to drive change across HR and managing budgets.
