Job Description

Head of Health & Safety and Security£45,516 - £48,931 p.a.Nescot College is set in an attractive green campus outside Epsom, next to a mainline station. The College has recently undergone extensive redevelopment and we are able to offer staff free car parking and other excellent on campus benefitsWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Health & Safety and Security to work as part of our Estates Team. You will be responsible for helping to ensure that the College meets its strategic objectives and that our framework of H&S policies and procedures, and those for our College security arrangements, support a safe environment for students, staff and visitors. The main focus of this role is Health & Safety with added responsibility for the management of the Colleges in-house Security Team and Reception Services.You must be a qualified Health and Safety practitioner (NEBOSH/TechIOSH), with strong IT, data analysis, project management, excellent communication and presentation/training skills. You will be a key member of the Estates Team, and will develop, embed and demonstrate compliance with Health and Safety legislation, policies, procedures and best practice across the estate and its facilities. You will work closely with line managers and staff across the College providing advice, support, and guidance to empower colleagues to undertake their health and safety responsibilities confidently and competently and to achieve a safe working environment for staff, students and visitors. This post is a Nescot Enterprise Ltd post which has different terms and conditions to Nescot College.Closing date for applications is Monday 29 March 2021Interviews will be held on Friday 9 April 2021
