Job Description

Our client, a dynamic and fast-growing multi-site business with an annual turnover of circa £850 million are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Procurement Officer to establish and lead their strategic procurement function. As the Head of Group Procurement, you will play a vital role in building and leading a procurement organisation that optimises supplier relationships, mitigates risk, and drives cost savings across our multi-site operations. This is a unique opportunity toshape and execute our procurement strategy from the ground up, impacting our bottom line and supply chain effectiveness.Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on cost reduction, quality assurance, and vendor management.
  • Design and build a high-performing procurement team across multiple sites, fostering a culture of collaboration, best practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring consistency in the procurement process.
  • Implement robust procurement policies, procedures, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business needs, fostering strong collaborative relationships across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Extensive experience in senior procurement leadership roles, ideally within a multi-site or complex business environment
  • Proven track record of setting up, transforming, or optimizing procurement functions, achieving significant cost savings and process improvements.
  • Strong negotiation skills and analytical acumen, with a focus on strategic sourcing, contract management, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in procurement and supply chain management are highly desirable.
