If you share a commercial drive and want to see tangible, life-changing results from your work, read on!Working closely with a highly engaging Financial Controller and Group Finance Director, this role will suit an experienced, commercially astute, qualified finance professional who has strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders as well as having a hands-on’ mentality.You will be a key stakeholder in leading the business through annual planning and budgeting cycle - driving financial and non-financial forecasting and KPIs, agreeing key figures and assumptions, evaluating risks and opportunities, and building board-level output.Your role will be responsible for developing and driving model-building on their new financial forecasting and planning tool. You will also provide monthly rolling forecast updates - helping the business manage trade-offs in delivering against financial targets and maintaining financial control, whilst building a narrative to facilitate decisions to be presented at a senior level.Ultimately, you will use your experience and commercial acumen to support the business through strategic planning and decision-making process - maintaining the 3/5 year plan outlook, and contributing to the objective assessment of past investments and future opportunities.Responsibilities include• Control the appraisal process• Review of appraisal outputs with senior management• Lead the Financial governance and version control process• Ensure appropriate financial quality assurance reviews• Assist in the provision of financial information to support the wider governance process• Identify risks and propose mitigations for risks associated with the Group with associated stress testing• Lead the preparation of all elements of the financial submission requirements including the Record of Assumptions and other specified outputs• Identify and introduce process improvements and promote the continuous development of the forecasting system and team proceduresGiven the nature of the sector and non-finance contacts you will be partnering with, you will need to be able to effectively explain financial information and have an investigative approach and commercial acumen.You will play a key role within this dynamic organisation, supporting the Senior Leadership Team with the creation of a high-performance culture and will have a business partnering’ approach to non-finance departments and stakeholders.You will also need strong financial systems experience and advanced Excel knowledge.Our client is seeking to progress the recruitment process swiftly so if you are keen to know more, please apply ASAP.Superb benefits and job satisfaction are on offer.Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and planning skills
  • Technically strong with a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • An understanding of the construction/house building sector and/or social housing
  • Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and the ability to retain the wider view
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to work effectively on a remote basis
