Charity People are very proud to be working in partnership with an amazing £1million turnover trust based in London. Established and funded by the UK Government in 2005, this charity plays a leading role in remembering and being a voice for the millions of people who lost their lives in genocides which took place all over the world in the 20th century.Working very closely with the CEO, you will be part of the Senior Management Team working and leading the Finance and the Operations function (HR, IT, Contract Management and Health and Safety). This is a very hands-on finance role with support from an Operationsofficer on day to day financial activities.Candidates applying for this role must be Qualified Accountants holding a recognised Finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA). You will be required to come into London twice a week. This role is very much open to 5 days a week or 4/4.5 days a week where the salary will be prorated.The salary being offered is £48,000 - £53,000 per annum (this will be pro ratad if the candidate is looking to work 4/4.5 days a week). The main duties and responsibilities are:- Lead on the Financial strategy including advising and working closely with the CEO, SMT and Board of Trustees- Act as Company Secretary- Preparation of management accounts- Day to day finance function when necessary (including processing invoices, bank rec and supplier payments)- Annual budget and quarterly forecasts- Preparation of Statutory Accounts according to Charity SORP - Dealing with the auditors- Maintain the asset register- Oversee HR IT and Health and Safety- Deal with the payroll providerCandidates applying for this role must have the following skills and experience:- Experience working for a Charity and preparing accounts according to Charity SORP- Should be able to work within a small close-knit team and be very hands on- Should have very strong Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Sumifs, spreadsheets etc)- Have the ability to look beyond numbers and be commercially minded - Proactive, problem solving ability and have strong interpersonal skills- Worked within the Finance and Audit Committee - Experience working and advising the CEO, SMT and Trustee Board- Must hold recognised CCAB qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) The closing date for this role is 30th August, 2021First stage will be held w/c 6th September, 2021If you have the necessary skills and experience, please apply with a copy of your CV.
