Equifind are supporting a leading private equity firm that specialises in identifying, acquiring, and growing exceptional businesses across various industries to recruit a new Head of Finance.With a proven track record of success, this Mayfair-based investor have deployed more than $3.5bn of capital since inception 11 years ago. They are now in the process of raising what will be their largest fund to date which will start investing in Q2 thisyear.To support this period of growth, they are looking for a highly skilled and experienced finance leader to run their financial operations and provide strategic financial guidance. You will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeingall financial aspects of the firms operations.Your strategic insights, financial expertise, and leadership skills will play a pivotal role in optimising their financial performance, shaping investment strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Key deliverables include:

• Lead and manage a team responsible for executing day-to-day financial reporting tasks.
• Develop and execute the firms financial strategy, ensuring alignment with investment objectives and long-term goals.
• Collaborate with the investment team to analyse potential investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and provide comprehensive financial insights.
• Monitor the financial performance of our portfolio companies, identifying opportunities to enhance value and mitigate risks.
• Implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Build strong relationships with investors, external auditors, legal advisors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership on matters such as capital raising, financing options, and strategic initiatives.

Application criteria:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Qualified accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA or CFA) preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or related fields, with upwards of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of investment analysis, financial modelling, and valuation techniques within the private equity landscape.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Proven track record of contributing to strategic decision-making and driving financial performance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in financial software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
