Job Description

Keen to work for a unique INGO with a powerful social mission whose work provide critical support to thousands of vulnerable people across the world Are you a senior finance professional with a passion for international development Could you confidentlylead all things financial planning and grants finance for a growing organisation If yes, this could be your next role!This brilliant INGO are currently seeking a Head of Finance to join their passionate team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Director if Finance, you will assume critical responsibility for all things financial planning and analysis in the interestof enhancing the organisation’s position against their ambitious growth model.The key duties of this Head of Finance are as follows:

  • Take the lead in the development of the charity’s strategic financial plan, ensuring all financial activity meets the wider organisation’s strategic objectives.
  • Ensure all financial controls are fit-for-purpose and assume responsibility for financial risk management and Compliance.
  • Full responsibility for ensuring the production of the quarterly management accounts in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the organisation’s financial performance against budget and produce quarterly update reports for presentation at Board level.
  • Be accountable for the statutory accounts and donor audit processes.
  • Provide critical support to the Grants Team in the development of all financials for prospective and exiting grants.
This Head of Finance role would officially be based out of the charity’s head office in London, however hybrid working arrangements are on offer. It offers a unique opportunity for an experienced senior finance professional who is looking to combine theirpassion for international development with their financial planning skills in a role that offers genuine responsibility from day one.The successful candidate will have:
  • Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience of having worked in a senior finance role of a similar capacity.
  • Experience working in the charity sector, ideally in an international setting.
  • The gravitas and confidence to present at Board and Committee level meetings.
  • Brilliant international skills and evidenced leadership qualities.
