Job Description

As a UK CAA / EASA Form 4 Holder, you will be the senior manager responsible for all aspects of managing the Design Organisation and will report directly to the Chief Executives/Managing Directors. You will have ultimate responsibility for the Design Assurance System and the satisfactory accomplishment of all design work carried out by the DOA. Skillset to include: Knowledge and understanding of the certification requirements of: - EASA Part 21J, - CS 25 - Large Aeroplanes, - CS 27 & CS 29 - Small and Large Rotorcraft, - Experience of the design and certification of aircraft changes, and the working of a CAA or EASA approved Design Organisation is essential. You will ideally already be a Form 4 Holder at a Part21J organisation, here in the UK. if you are looking to work in an smaller-team environment, this could be the opportunity for you.Role Requirements Strong background from working in a Design Organisation environment Being acceptable to a regulatory authority i.e., previous EASA Form 4 Holder Full understanding of EASA Part 21J requirements, and knowledge of EASA CS 25, CS 27 and CS 29 certification requirements (CS25 essential) A minimum of 3 years experience as an airworthiness signatory Previous experience in the role as a CVE signatory for structures, avionics and electrical systems, cabin safety, hydromechanical systems, or structures (1 Fluent in English, French desirable Able to provide evidence of previous active participation in design and certification processes, and component or equipment development and qualification programmes performed in accordance with EASA Part 21J requirements Previous experience of working within a UK MAA DAOS system with knowledge of military certification requirements Undergone DAOS training. Experience of mentoring and providing technical leadership to small teams working in design and certification Strong management and interpersonal skills and able to liaise directly with customers or the regulatory authority (EASA) at a technical level Relevant technical qualifications including an apprenticeship, further educational qualifications such as a degree, or specific training with appropriate discipline specific knowledge
