Job Description

HEAD OF DATALondon - Hybrid£90,000 - 110,000THE COMPANY:Harnham is working closely with one of the worlds largest mass-participation sports event organisers. They are a not-for-profit organisation that donates to various charities and trusts to improve sports and recreational activities, as well as support accessibilityto sports facilities. They are looking for an ambitious Head of Data that will lead the adoption of a Snowflake platform to enable the monetisation of data products.THE ROLE:This is a fantastic opportunity for a Business Intelligence Manager or Head of Data looking to gain ownership of a vital cloud migration project. You will be responsible for a small cross-functional data team as well as building a data strategy with seniorstakeholders.You will:

  • Have ownership of and oversee the cloud migration project to Snowflake
  • Have ownership of the enterprise architecture in AWS
  • Design, build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Design an enterprise data modelling schema
  • Design, build and manage data sets using dbt (or SQL)
  • Leverage data for commercial use and data products
  • Oversee data quality and data management.
REQUIREMENTS:As the Head of Data, you will play a vital role in maintaining the functionality of the Snowflake platform. You will need to be well-versed in the AWS stack and interaction with dbt would be advantageous. A strong candidate will have some of the followingskills:
  • SQL or dbt
  • Snowflake (AWS)
  • Knowledge of Python (ideal)
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, dbt, Fivetran)
  • Strong communication skills
  • A background in customer-focused industries
  • Experience or desire to gain experience in a greenfield environment
  • An interest or experience in NGOs or charities (essential)
SALARY AND BENEFITS:A successful candidate will receive an excellent salary of up to £110,000 with additional benefits.
