Job Description

Role: Head of Category (Corporate Services and Facilities Management)Salary: c£90,000 per annum + exceptional benefits Status: Permanent Location: working from home / London This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior procurement professional to join a leading and prestigious organisation based in London, who are looking to expand their team and recruit two Head of Category Management. As Senior Managers in the Commercial team you need to understand the key strategic drivers for these categories and to facilitate their successful delivery through implementing a stretching commercial strategy.Key Responsibilities: Report to the Commercial Director, responsible for leading procurement and commercial contract management activity across the Corporate Services and Facilities Management categories, developing an insightful understanding of the business plan covering the category and the resulting commercial imperatives (including sustainability). Working with key stakeholders across the category to drive tangible value for money from all third party spend through a process of continuous improvement, liaising with users to integrate new ways of working.Developing and maintaining a robust level of subject matter expertise for the specific category including current best practice and benchmarks as well as deliver significant year on year cost optimisation opportunities. Assessing sourcing requirements in new business projects, working closely from day of inception to align to exist group contracts. Developing transition plans for new demand on to existing contracts, liaise with existing suppliers to agree approach. Evolving the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process for these categories. Ensuring business processes are continuously improved across the category and putting in place innovative new ways of working and making a significant and valued contribution to the Commercial Leadership Team, jointly shaping the Commercial strategic plan and driving its execution.The successful candidate: MCIPS or CIPS qualified is advantageous Degree educated or equivalent level of working experience is requiredCategory management experience ideally in; Corporate Services and Facilities Management Must have senior level procurement/ category management experience working within a large and complex organisations Successful delivering end-to-end procurement strategies plansExceptional leadership and man management expertise - (121s, mentoring, training)Excellent transformation and change management Strategic thinker and exceptional financial acumenExcellent stakeholder management expertise Strong influencing, negotiation and analytical skills Exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to build strong working relationships with personnel and clientele at all levelsExcellent IT systems knowledge and experience Submit your CV now to be considered for this amazing opportunity.
