Job Description

Walker Cole International is searching for a Head of Analytical Development to join a Cell & Gene Therapy company based in London. As the Head of Analytical Development, you will take responsibility for analytical development programs and support manufacturingby providing technical expertise.Your responsibilities as the Head of Analytical Development will be:

  • Plan, manage and execute the analytical development of specialist techniques with the support of Principal Scientists and their associated teams.
  • Ensure all methods developed comply with GMP guidelines and can be applied to commercial use for the industry.
  • As the Head of Analytical Development, you will advance Cell and Gene Therapies through internal and external collaborations.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, supporting project work whilst keeping to the strategy outlined by collaborators.
To be the successful candidate for Head of Analytical Development you will possess:
  • MSc/PhD in science related disciplines.
  • Experience carrying out all management duties for a team of scientists working on projects for external stakeholders.
  • Extensive work experience within the Cell and Gene Therapy or Biologics/Biopharma using and developing specialist techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, western blots, high-content imaging, LCMS, cytotoxicity assays and cell- based functional assays.
  • Previous work experience in a client facing role, presenting data and strategies to external stakeholders.
