We are currently recruiting for a passionate and food led Head Chef to join our clients restaurant based in the heart of Londons Soho.As an established neighbourhood restaurant, the menu is based on seasonal ingredients and produce cooked to perfection with a stunning presentation. The restaurant has approx. 40 covers and is consistently busy with lunchtime trade as well as dinners so duringpeak times, tables are turned and it is a fast service.As the Head Chef, you will be fully responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and management of the small team. You will naturally have a good understanding of flavours and be able to produce fresh exciting food for a busy restaurant. With food being the heart of the restaurant, you will need to have a genuine love and passion for ingredients with the ability to produce creative but simple dishes to showcase the ingredients. Being able to work in a fast environment as well as under pressureis also essential for this role.The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday lunch and dinner. Working hours are 7 shifts per week and any additional shifts are paid as extra.Our ideal candidate would -Be a Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef with a good work history-Be able to take responsibility for a kitchen and ensure a smooth day to day running-Lead, manage and motivate a team as well as work well as part of the team-Be financially aware and able to manage GP and budget-Be genuinely passionate about food and ingredients-Be able to cook from scratch using fresh seasonal ingredients-Have an eye for detail and presentation-Be able to work evenings and weekends-Thrive in a busy environment and be able to work under pressure in a calm manner-Have an energetic personality with a positive can do attitudeThis is a great opportunity for a keen and enthusiastic chef to join a growing company and progress their career in a great environment.
