Job Description

Equifind are supporting a global wealth management firm based in the City of London to recruit a Group Reporting Manager.In recent years, this business has experienced substantial growth, marked by strategic acquisitions, an impressive increase in market share, and the achievement of multiple industry awards.As they continue to thrive, the need for a commercially-minded accountant has arisen. This newly established position will play a pivotal part in the team comprised of qualified professionals who have played a pivotal role in driving the businesss remarkablegrowth, boasting an average tenure of 7 years within the finance team.When it comes to team spirit, the team knows how to have fun. They regularly plan dinners, drinks, escape room adventures, flight club outings, sports tournaments against other businesses in the City, and more, making work an absolute blast!What will I be doing

  • Management and training of 4 qualified accountants
  • Coordination of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process and consolidation.
  • Coordinates the annual external audit process for the International business
  • Coordinates the preparation of the annual UK GAAP financial statements for the group’s UK entities
  • Acts as a point of contact for technical accounting matters. Oversees production of accounting papers for significant transactions.
  • Coordinates the production and submissions of UK regulatory returns to the Financial Conduct Authority.
  • Oversight of cash flow reporting including the preparation of suitable forecasts and other analysis.
  • Oversees the production of finance papers for the UK Board meetings and Committees.
  • Maintains accounting policy documentation and ensures that new and emerging accounting and disclosure requirements are appropriately applied.
  • Adopts a continuous improvement mentality regarding processes, reporting and controls.

What skills & traits do I need to apply
  • Qualified accountant (preferably ACA or ACCA)
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience, ideally within the financial services sector
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with critical thinking skills
  • Hands-on, proactive approach to task management and self-development
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing support to colleagues across the globe
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications
  • Strong leadership and managerial experience
