Job Description

Our client, a reputable, international oil and gas business are seeking a Group Reporting Adviser to join their team in London for an immediate start.Reporting in the Group Reporting and Consolidation Manager, you will play a key role in the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and streamlining financial processes and procedures.Responsibilities:

  • Manage the due diligence process for quarterly group financial reporting by acting as a liaison between the local finance teams and other business functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate on delivery of Statutory accounts for the business entities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, managing the audit process from planning to completion.
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial reporting systems and processes and support the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross geographical finance teams to ensure quality and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Support the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance the overall control environment.
  • Ensure financial applications are robust and support the business requirements.
  • Support in the timely and accurate delivery of quarterly shareholder reporting and addressing additional shareholder requests.
Requirements:
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA).
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Extensive experience (minimum of 4 years) in financial reporting, with exposure to group reporting activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and strong technical accounting skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
