Job Description

This newly created role will support the Group Property Risk Director by providing strategic advice on the oversight of property investment risk management across the Group. You will lead on specific projects across Group and Divisions as required. Thisincludes providing oversight and advice to all relevant business units and entities within the Group, in relation to property risk and the development and implementation of property risk frameworks.

  • Conduct research to guide decision making on specific transactions or new asset classes.
  • Work across divisions to ensure group-wide coverage and standards.
  • Develop group and divisional risk frameworks in relation to property, with input from Group Property Risk Director and wider Group Risk team.
  • Ensure frameworks reflect changes in business and in line with Group requirements and legislation.
  • Build strong relationships across the Group.
  • Support ongoing governance of property risk, including representing Group Risk at working groups and portfolio and pipeline reviews.
  • Coordinate input for specific follow up actions, including deep dives, preparing papers , co-ordinating input from divisional teams in line with Group requirements.
  • Draft the Property Risk page for Group Financial Risk Committee, Executive Risk Committee, Group Risk Committee packs, including input on market changes.
  • Ensuring that all Risk processes and polices are designed and implemented in accordance with the “TCF” policy.
  • Conform to wider risk taxonomy principles including ensuring controls are specific, measurable, and effective and agreeing risk appetite statements, including co-ordinating input from business, 2nd line and research teams.
