Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified / finalist accountant to join a thriving technology company. This role will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts for two entities. My client would like someone with solid managementaccounting experience / knowledge so they can hit the ground running.Client DetailsThis Group Management Accountant role is with a leading technology company based in the City of London. They believe in investing in peoples future whilst maintaining a healthy work / like balance.DescriptionAs the Group Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing the preparation of timely month-end and yearly management accounts across two separate entities
  • Analysing product margins and overheads variances to budget
  • Providing a comprehensive commentary for Senior Management, which is insightful and details the why, as opposed to simply quoting the variances
  • Balance Sheet maintenance and control, including the posting of regular journals and pro-actively investigating reconciling items
  • Weekly review of revenue transactions provided by non-Finance departments to ensure accuracy of postings
  • Assisting in the production of a monthly sales reporting pack and commission calculations
  • Take ownership of the month-end process by suggesting process improvements and instilling financial discipline
  • Review and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Involvement in the production of the annual budgeting and ad-hoc forecasting
  • Partnering across the business and understanding the processes which other departments perform which impact on Finance
  • Providing support and guidance to junior members within the Finance department
  • Ad-hoc reporting and project work as required
ProfileAs the Group Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
  • Management Accounting experience
  • Part qualified / finalist and actively studying ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Good system skills (preferably with Sage 200, but not essential)
  • Intermediate in Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables & Formulae)
  • Ability to quickly build relationships within and outside of Finance
  • Experience of managing Finance projects and implementing process changes (desirable)
Job Offer£40,000 - £45,000 + study support
