Job Description

The role

  • Provide support in an advisor capacity to the Cognizant Application Support (Run) Team and its associated client base within the business.
  • To be responsible for addressing application problems and queries relating to CODA, CODA datasets and other integrated application datasets such as, but not limited to, the Concur Integration database.
  • To act as an advisor and co-ordinator of general business support activities undertaken by the Cognizant Application Support (Run) team.
  • To identify, aid the co-ordination thereof and help facilitate project deliveries concerning Finance related application services, coupled with making recommendation for improvements to the quality and resilience of the Finance application services provided by Cognizant Application Support (Run) team.
    • Key accountabilities
  • Working closely with the Cognizant IT Service desk and Application Support team to provide Financial Systems support activities. This will include analysis of incidents reported and responding to the end users when 1st and 2nd line capability has been exhausted. This activity will likely include consultation with 3rd parties such as AdvantageGo and UNIT4. The types of issues handled will be related to application usage and data queries
  • Provide support / consultation to the analysis and resolution of all CODA related technical queries with Cognizant, Advantage Go and or other business functions as required.
  • Support and maintenance of other Financial Systems as required, including the BACS and BBM systems.
  • Contribute to all assigned Financial Systems problems to resolution, liaising with company IT Teams, Advantage Go, UNIT4 and the Business as required.
  • Maintain an analysis of all received issues and where possible taking proactive steps to prevent these from happening again e.g. email communication.
  • Building and Maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring good communication and results are achieved.
  • Act as a reference point to the Finance Community. Providing guidance where necessary and identifying potential training needs to the Cognizant Application Support (Run) Team.
    • Skills & experience
  • A sound Finance and Insurance background.
  • A working knowledge of the application CODA, although additional training will be provided for new modules / upgrades
  • Customer and delivery focused with ability to build strong relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to understand both the big picture and detailed subject matter.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Self motivated with the ability to prioritise workload and use initiative.
  • Team player willing to learn and develop new skills.
  • Microsoft packages Word, Excel, Outlook is essential. Medium or Advanced knowledge is required.
