Job Description

Title: Group Financial ControllerSalary: £80k - £95kThe company: My client, a fast growing online fashion retailer, is seeking a Group Financial Controller with a strong US GAAP and SEC reporting background to support an upcoming listing on to the Nasdaq.This role will be a key member of the senior management team, whereby you will take ownership of US GAAP reporting and accounting, ensuring regulatory compliance. SOX and SEC knowledge is highly desirable. Leading a team of five, you will be tasked with full management and development of the finance function, ensuring it is aligned for accelerated growth, with ultimate oversight for high quality accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with all statutory and tax filings, and supporting the audit processes.Active leadership and participation in the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring the accuracy of the US GAAP and statutory financial statements.

  • Continuously improving processes with the team to ensure process sustainability and the integrity of US GAAP and statutory financial statements
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment and appropriate SOX controls and in support of the external audit requirements
  • Oversee end to end process of certain local accounting activities
  • Oversight of reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy and adherence to US GAAP and statutory requirements
    • You will be joining at an exciting period of growth and change, and as such you will play a key part, working with internal and external stakeholders, contribute to developing strategic objectives and key operational transformations and projects. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership team, working with the internal stakeholders in pushing the company forward for growth and new markets (China, EMEA, US).Requirements:
  • ACA / ACCA / FCA / FCCA qualified is essential
  • Substantial US GAAP and US Compliance experience is essential
  • Experience of working with a NASDAQ / NYSE listed company is highly preferred
  • Experience in the e-commerce, luxury retail sector is desirable
  • SEC Reporting experience
  • Experienced Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Group Financial Accountant with strong achievements is essential
  • Additional languages desirable but not essential
